Description and Parameters
For a long ski mountaineering ascent, you need a jacket that protects against wind and moisture, yet does not overheat during intense movement. SOLISKO 3 uses a hybrid construction designed for effective internal climate regulation and maximum freedom of movement throughout the day in the mountains.
The front panel, upper back and forearms are made of ultra-light Pertex® Quantum material, which protects against wind and moisture while maintaining high breathability. The shoulders and exposed part of the back use a membrane with parameters of 10 000 mm / 10 000 g/m²/24 h. Thermal comfort is provided by Polartec® Alpha® Direct insulation placed on the chest, sleeves and upper back. This top-tier synthetic insulation works effectively with moisture, warms even when wet and does not need a lining, which helps reduce the overall weight of the jacket.
The back and forearms feature Blizzard® Thermal Comfort material, which combines high elasticity with excellent breathability and can maintain thermal comfort even when the fabric is stretched. Panels in the underarm area made of material inspired by GRID technology speed up sweat wicking during demanding ascents. The anatomical hood with an elastic hem is compatible with a helmet and also supports natural ventilation. User comfort is complemented by a chin guard and reflective zipper pullers for easier handling even with gloves.
It is primarily intended for ski mountaineering and ski touring. Thanks to its high breathability, low weight and effective thermoregulation, you can also use it for cross-country skiing, performance winter hiking and other dynamic activities in the winter mountains.
