During intense physical activity at high temperatures, the human body tries to prevent overheating and produces sweat. It dissipates most of the excess heat energy, but the moisture on the skin always cools the body afterwards. Clothing made of synthetic materials can quickly remove moisture from its surface, but this is not enough for optimal cooling. The opposite extreme is cotton fibers. They absorb quickly, dry more slowly, and this results in a cooling effect.
How does it work?
Polartec® Delta ™ is a special, knit fabric made of hydrophilic and hydrophobic yarns. The combination of absorbent and non-absorbent yarns allows rapid removal of moisture while effectively controlling this process and creates a cooled effect with the help of retained moisture.
The surface of the bandage is embossed, which provides enough space for the air in contact with the skin to circulate. The parts of the material that touch the skin directly absorb moisture and regulate its evaporation. Polartec® Delta ™ supports the natural way of cooling the human body.
Due to its functional properties, Polartec® Delta ™ is suitable for the production of baselayers, cycling jerseys and t-shirts for runners.
Polartec® Delta ™ is not produced chemically during production, its structure minimizes friction and almost maintenance-free.
