Choose the best dressing strategy
The basis is whether you want one insulated jacket or prefer to layer clothes. Regular skiing requires a more universal type of clothing - insulated ski jackets. They fulfill the functions of two layers - thermal insulation and protection. If you are going for skitouring, skiing or winter hiking, we recommend choosing the layering strategy. You can shed and add additional layers during various activities.
Each functional clothing is characterized by a different combination of functional materials and technologies. What to look for when choosing ski clothing?

A ski jacket should protect against cold, wind and rain, and it must also be sufficiently breathable and comfortable. It is definitely a good idea to choose a jacket filled with synthetic materials and not down, which absorbs moisture.

How to properly layer clothes for skiing?
Synthetic or down?
Down is the ideal material for cold and dry winter. However, it quickly loses its amazing thermal insulation properties in damp conditions. Down requires very fine and thin materials, and poses a risk of damage when skiing. Synthetic materials are only a small step behind down in the weight category thanks to constant innovation. They score mainly because they work despite humidity. They are well combined with different membranes, which also protect the insulation from mechanical damage.
If you decide on the layering strategy, you must accept its basic principle when choosing individual layers. Without complementary functionality, layering loses its advantages and comfort turns into discomfort.
1. Base layer - functional underwear
The base layer touches the skin directly. It should wick away sweat quickly and keep you dry. The difference between functional underwear and e.g. you can recognize the wind on the cable car with a cotton undershirt.
2. Insulating middle layer
Its purpose is to insulate against body heat loss and support the function of the first layer by transporting moisture away from the body. Thanks to this layer, it maintains a pleasant body temperature.
3. Protective outer layer
Protects against adverse weather. It must have a good combination between breathability and water resistance, e.g. elastic softshell jackets with taped seams.
Maximum elasticity and optimal mobility
You must feel 100% comfortable on the slopes, in the ski bar or on the cable car. Therefore, we use the most advanced material Dermizax™EV, which thanks to its elasticity can expand up to twice, which contributes to movement comfort. A powerful elastic, waterproof membrane with a long service life is characterized by excellent wind resistance, breathability and elasticity. The material is waterproof up to a water column height of 20000 mm with a breathability of 10000g/m2/24h. The membrane protects even without impregnation and does not require special care. We used Dermizax, for example, in a premium women's ski set consisting of a jacket TONHISELA and pants KREADYSHA. You can also find this model in the men's version of the jacket TONHIS and KREADY pants.
100% ergonomic equipment on the cable car or on the slope
In addition to the elastic functional material, you must ensure that the trouser belt does not press you on the cable car, when wearing ski boots did not roll up the jacket or did the sleeves of the jacket roll up when putting on the gloves. We therefore tuned every detail to perfection.
